World War Two!!!!

by R.A 6.3 - Heasandford Primary School Burnley

War is harsh

War is mean,

There is chaos in the streets,

I cannot sleep it makes me weep.

Families are torn apart while

Buildings stumble to the ground.

The sirens sound so very loud.

The bombs all blast.

They go off so very fast.

I cover my ears so I cannot hear,

I close my eyes so I cannot see.

I wish it will stop.

Too many lives have been lost.

I want peace.

In every street.

A Poem about World War Two

M.S. 6.3 Heasandford Primary School Burnley

I'm going to be evacuated,

And guess what, I can't wait.

Because of the war and bombings,

It'll be a day to celebrate.

I can't imagine leaving my family,

They're people who I'm really going to miss.

It'll be like losing a part of my body,

But then again, it was my parents' wish.

They want me to go,

Because of everything thats going on.

It looks like we're going to die,

For everythings in the wrong.

My Fathers gone to fight,

And I don't think he'll be back.

Because lots of people have died,

And some have even got the sack.

Some weren't good enough,

Some were very bad.

Some even killed themselves,

Because of the dangers and that was that.

I wonder how it'll be,

I've never been there before.

I wonder who will be looking after me?

I don't think it'll be someone I know.
