World War Two Poem

M.S. 6.3 Heasandford Primary School Burnley

Hitler's charged his army

Everyone's trying to hide

There's no place for us to go to,

Because it's 4 o' clock in the night.

We'll definitely have to go somewhere,

The shelter is the only place.

I really don't want to go in there,

Because it looks like a dead mans grave.

There's horrible water all over,

With filthy rats and mice.

I'd rather be sitting at home,

Eating something nice.

I'm sure if you were to come in here,

You'd die any second now.

But then again you're safe,

And I'm really wondering how.

For Hitler wants to kill nearly everyone,

And it looks like he's doing a good job of it.

I hardly think I'll survive,

But I'll be lucky if I get away with it.

World War Two Was Not so Cool

by S.S. 6.3 Heasandford Primary School Burnley

World War Two,

Was not so cool!

The person who started it

Was just a fool!

England vs Germany,

France vs Japan!

There were so many countries,

And the war just began!

There were so many air raids,

And shelters that were built!

Some people got very ill,

And some people were killed!

Adolf Hitler was the cause of all of this,

He wanted to rule England!

France, Germany and other countries,

And don't forget Finland!

There were so many weapons used,

Guns, tanks and bombs!

Grenades and much more,

Altogether there were so many items!

Children got evacuated,

Men  went to war!

Women stayed at home,

And this was the world war!
