"I just want to thank you for such an enjoyable learning experience you brought into my classroom this morning for both pupils and teaching staff. You thoroughly engaged the children from start to finish of the session with drama, music, fun, role play and much more. The artefacts, props and uniforms were all fantastic visual aids and definitely enhanced the children's learning. After talking to the children this afternoon I am surprised how much information they have actually retained. They are experts on WW2 already and it's only three days into the term. This was a brilliant'hook' into our topic of WW2 and it has inspired both the children and myself to continue enjoy researching and learning about this topic.

If you are doing WW2 and struggling to get started this might help. Just had a great afternoon with my year 3 class.  We are just starting WW2 and had Steve from  plusoneteaching.com who came to show genuine artefacts from the ARP wardens, real gas masks and dress the children as a family at the start of the WW listening to Chamberlain's broadcast. There was lots of fun,  songs to sing and loads to learn about Evacuees. It was a great time and they really loved it. If you are in the Lancashire / Yorkshire area I recommend it. It is a really great start to the topic and the children can relate to it all, it is so much fun they don't realise they are learning!!!.

"It was a brilliant way for the children to be introduced to exciting information about the war and it worked really well to re-inforce knowledge we had already covered. The props were excellent and really engaged the pupils. We will continue to sing and learn the songs that were introduced as we continue our World War Two topic."
